Hi, I’m Anna
I work with individuals and couples navigating relationship challenges, life transitions, grief, anxiety, depression, and trauma.
Specializations: Women’s Health & Mental Health
About Me & My Approach
My name is Anna Schick (she/her) and I am a compassionate, trauma-informed therapist, based in NYC.
I offer a warm, supportive space where all parts of you are welcome. Together, we can explore building a kinder relationship with yourself, a greater sense of internal trust and safety, and more confidence and connection in your relationships. I support individuals who may be feeling stuck, lost, overwhelmed, or unseen, and believe therapy can be a space to slow down, make sense of what’s happening, and begin reconnecting with oneself.
I work with individuals and couples navigating relationship challenges, life transitions, grief, stress, caregiving, chronic pain, and trauma. An area of focus in my practice centers on women’s mental health, including the emotional impact of reproductive and metabolic conditions such as PCOS, with attention to the mind–body connection.
My approach is trauma-informed and integrative, blending psychodynamic therapy, IFS, mindfulness, and solution-focused strategies.
Services
Individual Therapy
Whether you’re new to therapy or returning, I offer a warm, judgment-free space where you can slow down, be yourself, and explore what’s been weighing on you. Our work focuses on understanding your inner world with curiosity and compassion, so you can move through life with more clarity, steadiness, and self-trust.
I meet you where you are and work at a pace that feels supportive, helping you reconnect with yourself and build tools that support lasting change. What we may work on:
Anxiety, stress, and emotional overwhelm
Understanding trauma and past experiences
Releasing patterns that make you feel stuck
Building a safer, more compassionate relationship with yourself
Strengthening emotional resilience and self-trust
Couples Therapy
Together, we will work to understand the patterns that show up when things feel tense, distant, or misunderstood in your relationship. By looking at how past experiences influence the relationship, we support you in moving out of conflict and toward more safety, connection, and ease with each other.
What we may work on together:
Improving communication and navigating conflict
Deepening emotional connection and understanding
Exploring boundaries, attachment patterns, and relationship expectations
Building trust, repair skills, and emotional safety for the long term
Women’s Mental Health
Women’s mental health is deeply connected to physical health. Hormonal changes, reproductive health, and metabolic conditions can all affect mental health, mood, identity, relationships and emotional well-being.
In my work, I support individuals navigating the emotional impacts of women’s health concerns, with an integrated, holistic approach.
